I watched Elf. I'm really rather sorry about that.

I'm hungry, but not particularly tired, so I guess I'm going to take another frustrated stab at the comm paper of DOOM. If I can just get it done, then I can spend the next few days playing with faeries and ghosts...

Oh, and by the way...

OMG I want to see this so SO badly...

I'm up. I'm fed. I read the other play for Festival and finished my application for technical positions. Well done, pseudo-productive me.

Now, back to the comm paper of DOOM. I will finish it today. Because I don't wanna have to deal with it again after today. And then, I will write plays and research ghosts and make study guides and play!

And clean...And do laundry...And start packing...

Sometimes, the government's timing is just exactly wrong. My Comm paper of DOOM, about Adult Literacy, is due Wednesday, December 14. The government is releasing the first new National Adult Literacy Assessment in more than ten years. On Thursday, December 15.

*Sigh*

New scene written for Playwrighting on Monday. Based on something from Milliways more than a year ago, and I had to go back through the archives to find it. It's amazing how much it hurt to see Tere again, back with Sario, and Indy's entrance into the bar, and Willow when she first came in...

I Cannot Hide What I Am

I must be sad when I have cause and smile
at no man's jests, eat when I have stomach and wait
for no man's leisure, sleep when I am drowsy and
tend on no man's business, laugh when I am merry and
claw no man in his humour...
I had rather be a canker in a hedge than a rose in
his grace, and it better fits my blood to be
disdained of all than to fashion a carriage to rob
love from any: in this, though I cannot be said to
be a flattering honest man, it must not be denied
but I am a plain-dealing villain. I am trusted with
a muzzle and enfranchised with a clog; therefore I
have decreed not to sing in my cage. If I had my
mouth, I would bite; if I had my liberty, I would do
my liking: in the meantime let me be that I am and
seek not to alter me.
