Walking home at two am, I heard voices. I looked around...several times. Finally, I looked up. There were two college students sitting up a tree reading Dr. Seuss out loud. Sometimes, my life is too surreal, even for me.

Huh, memories do pop up at the strangest times...

I suddenly remembered in my...third or fourth grade year, the principal's mom was turning eighty and we decided to do a show for her birthday. We choreographed every song from Disney's Aladdin and performed them on the playground at lunch for Virginia (the mom). I hadn't thought about that in a really long time...

Oh, lack of productivity...

Instead of working on my projects which are due next week, I spent an hour and a half finding and downloading almost fifty new songs, all Disney, mostly soundtrack pieces from the various theme parks...*sigh* I'm such a Disneyland junkie...

[livejournal.com profile] lornelover, this might appeal to you...

I finished the first draft of a study guide for Midsummer, which just leaves me with writing a paper about it...

Okay, I think I've done what I'm going to do on my Playwrighting portfolio. I have tons of research stuff on ghosts and hauntings and curses and lists of books and movies and TV shows. I have all manner of playlets and scenes and so on, so I guess now it's music time.

Why does Microsoft Word not recognize "Titania" or "Woolf", but it recognizes "Spitzentuch"?

I Cannot Hide What I Am

I must be sad when I have cause and smile
at no man's jests, eat when I have stomach and wait
for no man's leisure, sleep when I am drowsy and
tend on no man's business, laugh when I am merry and
claw no man in his humour...
I had rather be a canker in a hedge than a rose in
his grace, and it better fits my blood to be
disdained of all than to fashion a carriage to rob
love from any: in this, though I cannot be said to
be a flattering honest man, it must not be denied
but I am a plain-dealing villain. I am trusted with
a muzzle and enfranchised with a clog; therefore I
have decreed not to sing in my cage. If I had my
mouth, I would bite; if I had my liberty, I would do
my liking: in the meantime let me be that I am and
seek not to alter me.
