The unspoken third idea that would require me to research more than I really have time for right now, would be why the US needs revivals of 1776 and Assassins right now.

I was lucky enough to see the 2004 revival of Assassins (which was OMG AMAZING), and it seemed wonderfully timely then. But that was then, and NOW?... yeah, NOW.

It is no consolation. I consider that Doug's Tony. Especially since he didn't win for Pimpernel, which... I adore Alan Cumming and I'm sure he was fabulous in Cabaret, but I cannot imagine that he was as virtuoso as Doug in Pimpernel. *saw that four times*
