bardic_ladyToday is FIRING DAY!
I don't use the word 'fired' lightly, being among the recently terminated. But today is firing day. I'm hoping that, like New Year's Eve, this is an out with the old, in with the new kind of thing, but only tomorrow will tell. For now, the fired list:
Yes on Prop. 8
The campaign which tells us that legalising tolerance is a bad thing. That reminds us that moral judgements are more important than equal rights. Fired.

Firing of half of the only lesbian couple on network TV, and then forcing the show creator who didn't want to fire her to cover for it, and de-bisexualizing another character at the same time? Buh-bye.

Congressman Rush Holt, Jr. of the New Jersey 12th District, for being the only Quaker in the House and for being a physicist who issues bumper stickers which say "My Congressman IS a rocket scientist".
