Kimberly Deborah Dickson, my mother's older sister, died this afternoon after more than seven years fighting cancer. She was at home, though they're not sure that she knew she was there, and they don't think she was in any pain. She will be deeply missed, but it is good to think that she finally isn't hurting anymore.
Rest in Peace, Auntie Kimmie, I love you.

I'm sorry for the pain of grieving you and your family are left with now that Kimberly has died. She fought long and hard, and I'm pleased to hear that she wasn't dealing with pain at the end. I suspect you'll now be faced with difficult decisions about whether to make a quick trip home for the service. My best to your family.

She knew that she was loved and cherished. That's the best thing we can have, especially as we reach the end of our time here, and that's exactly what you gave her. I have no doubt that you made a great difference in her life, and that having you as her niece brought her a great deal of happiness.
