Full of sadness I come. Julia Child has passed away at age 91, two days before her 92nd birthday. What a spectacular woman. She was the first celebrity I remember meeting, and I remember standing in line at Brentano's (I was about four, I think) in my best sparkly party dress and tiara, because I had to be beautiful to meet Julia Child. She was a breast cancer survivor and an inspiration to a lot of people. She lived a full life and died in her sleep, so it is mete that we celebrate her, more than that we mourn her. She was funny and warm and beautiful and special and she will be deeply missed.

So I had a crappy ass day at work, but IT WAS MY LAST DAY! YAY!

And then I got home and my Wicked and Avenue Q sheet music showed up! Wheeee!

I've been a little close-mouthed about it, but I leave very early Sunday morning on vacation for a week. I intend to keep a RL journal during the week and then I'll post it when I return and inflict my vacation on everyone...heeheehee...

Where am I going? We're flying to Houston, taking a bus to Galveston and boarding a ship to cruise eastern Mexico and the Gulf for a week. Should be a blast, cross your fingers for no hurricanes. *wince*
