Fortunately, not all the residents were at Thompson Fountain, though they were close by...
The rest of the Harringtonians were stationed on the top floor of Thompson Hall, waiting to see if RA Pat would actually bargain. When Patrickus appeared at RA Pat's left-hand and began to drift toward Devnova, it was clear that there was only one thing left to do, they each raised their right hands to the sky and spoke the magic words. Power of Liberal Arts! said the drama geek, Power of Justice!, said the pre-law kid, Power of Faith!, said the leader of a campus religious group, Power of Science! said the Bio major. Lights leaped from their hands and a voice thundered out of the air, By your powers combined, I am DRY STANDPIPE!
In a brilliant flash of light, the Harrington superhero appeared and alit in front of RA Pat and Toriana.
For shame, Pat, you were once a proud Harringtonian, how have you gone so far astray? He walked through the fountain and untied Devnova, and carried her safely back to the pavement.
Pat, I have destroyed all of your cornography and it will fall heavily on you if I catch you exploiting helpless vegetables again...
With that, Dry Standpipe jumped into the air and vanished.
The residents went home, saved once again from evil RA Pat.

Once they were gone, RA Pat turned to Toriana. Dry Standpipe has foiled me this time, but if I can find and silence the Harringtonians who hold the power of Standpipe, he will never spoil my schemes again! Mwahahahaha!

Will RA Pat find the Harringtonians who possess Standpipe power?...

TUNE IN NEXT TIME FOR THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF THE HEROIC HARRINGTONIANS AND THEIR ARCH-NEMESIS, RA PAT!

I Cannot Hide What I Am

I must be sad when I have cause and smile
at no man's jests, eat when I have stomach and wait
for no man's leisure, sleep when I am drowsy and
tend on no man's business, laugh when I am merry and
claw no man in his humour...
I had rather be a canker in a hedge than a rose in
his grace, and it better fits my blood to be
disdained of all than to fashion a carriage to rob
love from any: in this, though I cannot be said to
be a flattering honest man, it must not be denied
but I am a plain-dealing villain. I am trusted with
a muzzle and enfranchised with a clog; therefore I
have decreed not to sing in my cage. If I had my
mouth, I would bite; if I had my liberty, I would do
my liking: in the meantime let me be that I am and
seek not to alter me.
