It went pretty well. My feet hate me, but otherwise I'm good. They paired my with the conservative Republican, which led to wonderful exchanges like the following:
HIM: Hippies are bad for the environment.
ME: Republicans are bad for the environment!
Yeah. The real fun though, was the walk down. I was wearing my brother's Argentine tango fedora. I heard the following comments as I walked the twenty minutes to work.
GUY1: Hey there, cowgirl. Let's you and me head down to the ranch and saddle some sheep.
...WTF?! Saddle sheep? I giggled for about three blocks, which got me to the next comment:
GIRL1: Get a load of the dyke.
Again, wtf? I was wearing black boots, black pinstripe pants, black t-shirt, and aforementioned black fedora. This makes me a lesbian?
GUY2: Hey. Nice hat. You look like a rabbi.
*facepalm*
Anyhoo, home and writing. I'll know about Comic-Con on Friday, as that's when I get next week's schedule.
