It's very weird to be skimming IMDB and realize that at least two of your close friends and almost all of your theatre teachers have pages. And that your friends' pages forums are full of tweens gushing about how hot they are. It gives you pause...

I haven't gone to sleep yet.

But I read all of "Striptease"...
bardic_lady: (wtf)
Awoke this morning to a terrible crash that turned out to be my nightstand collapsing, taking with it my laptop, my glasses, the external hard drive, and a glass of water. Tell me that isn't a recipe for disaster...Fortunately, aside from a wet patch on my carpet and a lens popping out of my glasses (it's popped back in again), all seems to be okay *knock wood*. I think I'd prefer an alarm clock...

I love floor fans. No really, I love them. My room is inevitably at least ten degrees warmer than the rest of the house, and now I have a wonderful fan that is perfectly positioned to keep me cool. It's fantabulous.

In the less happy news, while doing dishes my mother forgot there was a knife in the dish water and sliced open her hand. She and my dad are currently at Urgent Care. :(

My poor mommy...

I have the whole day off, so I'm gonna write at least two chapters and prob'ly watch tv, at least 4400 and SVU tonight.

I Cannot Hide What I Am

I must be sad when I have cause and smile
at no man's jests, eat when I have stomach and wait
for no man's leisure, sleep when I am drowsy and
tend on no man's business, laugh when I am merry and
claw no man in his humour...
I had rather be a canker in a hedge than a rose in
his grace, and it better fits my blood to be
disdained of all than to fashion a carriage to rob
love from any: in this, though I cannot be said to
be a flattering honest man, it must not be denied
but I am a plain-dealing villain. I am trusted with
a muzzle and enfranchised with a clog; therefore I
have decreed not to sing in my cage. If I had my
mouth, I would bite; if I had my liberty, I would do
my liking: in the meantime let me be that I am and
seek not to alter me.
