Someone posted a thread in the fantasy section of the BPAL forums about Hockey Scents. I, being obsessive, decided I needed to come up with scents for all 30 NHL teams. (I didn't quite, someone else came up with Red Wing. Better that way, mine would've been mean.)
Anaheim Ducks - Orange blossom, ozone, slivers of ice and a splatter of blood.
Atlanta Thrashers - Peaches, cool mint, rum, metallics, and a feather of white musk.
Boston Bruins - Molasses, aged paper, old leather, and metal.
Buffalo Sabres - Cold metal, brown musk, paprika, and stick tape
Calgary Flames - Cinnamon, red musk, dragon's blood resin, and burnt hay
Carolina Hurricanes - Honey and Southern Comfort blasted with a harsh wind that brings on the storm.
Chicago Blackhawks - India rubber, lavendar, pennyroyal, and ale
Colorado Avalanche - Snow, snow, and more snow, ozone and purple berries with a whiff of cedar.
Columbus Blue Jackets - Red, white, and blue musks and a drift of gun smoke
Dallas Stars - A whiff of honey and molasses over dry dust and a shimmer of yellow rose
Detroit Red Wings - Metallic ozone, blood, and white rose Not Mine
Edmonton Oilers - An oil slick in the clean snow
Florida Panthers - Citron, lime, and lemon spilled onto the damp swampy ground
LA Kings - Hot dry air, light beer, and traces of ash and metal.
Minnesota Wild - Green leaves, red berries, and vetiver covered with a blanket of muddy snow
Montreal Canadiens - Lavender, rose, cedar, oak, and axe-blade steel
Nashville Predators - Beer and whiskey over ice with the smell of popcorn and light amber.
New Jersey Devils - Dry earth, red musk, red sandalwood, and a hint of infernal cinnamon
NY Islanders - Patchouli, ozone, whiskey, and black tea with lemon.
NY Rangers - Black cherry, white rum, and ozone.
Ottawa Senators - black tea, golden orris, and red musk spilled over crisp paper and worn leather
Philadelphia Flyers - Blood, sweat, and beer.
Phoenix Coyotes - Cactus blooms, human musk, and a howl of desert roses.
Pittsburgh Penguins - Red apples, ale, clean ice, and skate blade metallics.
San Jose Sharks - Saltwater, lemongrass, black musk
St. Louis Blues - A downtown blues bar, rum, tobacco, coffee, and a faint memory of ozone
Tampa Bay Lightning - Ozone, fresh mowed grass, citrus, and an undertone of singed ground
Toronto Maple Leafs - Maple syrup, ice, sand, and a breeze off Lake Ontario
Vancouver Canucks - Iced coffee, cold metal, and a whisper of new grass
Washington Capitals - Cherry blossoms, wet leather, white musk, and red sandalwood
