Grrr...Arrgh. Cannot make BitTorrent work. Cannot download Synaptic package manager and therefore cannot try in Linux. Am fussy.

didn't you already post about this before? If you're on campus, you cannot use bittorent. The bandwidth it needs to actually work is above the cap that UPS has set. so on campus, it won't work.

Hmmm....well, if you have a slow internet connection, it may not be able to get the bandwidth, but I'm guessing it's bandwidth that's the problem. What kinda internet connection do you have?

well, I would guess your internet connection is too slow then. UPS has a T3 connection. Other than that, I don't know bittorrent well enough. I just know it takes TONS of bandwidth and won't work on campus because of the cap, and that it won't work on a slower connection because of the bandwidth. I hope that helps!
