More posting! A fic by [livejournal.com profile] fox1013, A Muppet/Sports Night crossover, cause your life wasn't weird enough...

Also, a top 10 list by [livejournal.com profile] dramatrauma:
Top 10 Misconceptions about Theatre Folk

10. Not all theatre people are leftist, gay, or gay-sympathizing, alcoholic gadabouts of questionable morals…though if you aren’t, it makes the rest of us suspicious.

9. We’re not all overeducated intellectual elitists; some of us are undereducated dilettante snobs.

8. No, we don’t all like putting on the tights and makeup (although some of us insist on it no matter what the play).

7. Frankly, we don’t know how we “learn all those lines” either.

6. Most of us don’t care who wrote Shakespeare’s plays, it’s just fun to fight about in front of civilians.

5. Musical actors are not always chipper and perky; tragedians are not always brooding and morose. Although each can still annoy the hell out of the other.

4. We are not self-centered, although why the paper wouldn’t print my “10 Great Things About Me” list is beyond my immense comprehension.

3. We all weren’t bad at sports in high school—but in Drama Club, you get to stay out late, dress up, you don’t have to worry about who’s winning, you interact with members of the opposite sex, and you have very little chance of breaking both knees and thus wrecking your chances of a scholarship.

2. Yes, we often get paid…no, it’s never enough to live off of.

1. Directors are not delusional dictators who clamp down on actors with an iron fist using abuse and threats of firing…directors get producers to do that stuff.

One more and then I'll take a few hours off...

Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus has decided to stop using rings in its show and to incorporate a plot into its performances. I am deeply traumatized by this development. I feel that this is the end of large-scale circus spectacular in this country. The word "Circus" comes from the Latin meaning "ring" and to abolish the ring system is to defeat the origin and heritage of circuses. It is a proud tradtion in circus to offer multiple acts at once and to dazzle the eye with magic in the ring, while assuring the audience of their safety out of it. I am appalled that so venerable an institution would turn its back on over a century of history and efface its unique production style with the widespread traditions of other art forms. This is a betrayal of a precious and dying style of entertainment and I am dismayed and disappointed at its loss.

It's pouring down buckets. It rarely rains this hard in Tacoma, though it kind of reminds me of the day freshman year when Seattle got record rainfall and everyone from Harrington slogged to the SUB together for dinner, complaining about how they should deliver by canoe...

My dad is mad at me for giving my brother an hour and half's notice of when I needed to shower in order to do my hair, so he could plan his shower accordingly. Apparently, that's dominating and mean of me. *Sigh*
