Exec went fairly well. We have an order and now I can finish my part. Walked around campus playing the Haunted Mansion intro from Disneyland on my laptop. Responses were HILARIOUS. I love being quietly, unassumingly creepy as fuck. When hinges creak in doorless chambers and strange and eerie noises fill the air, when candles flicker where the air is deathly still...
Went to the Cellar, watched Daily Show, came home to pick up GotD and headed out to post it with every intention of turning around and coming right back. And then there was live Celtic music in the cafe. So much for that plan. I hope, hope, HOPE they do it again. They were really good and it was great fun.

I realize I'm very late today.

So so tired. I decided today that I'm dropping both my Classics minor and Latin. Now. I'll go in to talk to the prof tomorrow, hopefully it'll just be a pass-withdraw.
Of course, this has made me anxious all day, so my shoulders are in the general vicinity of my ears and they hurt like hell.
I should know better than to walk through the lounge when I know Tom is there. It only leads to distraction. Silly boy, sitting around with his shirt off...

In honor of National Coming Out Day, please join B-GLAD for several special on-campus events:

Come Out, Come Out, Whatever You Are: From 9am to 5pm, we'll be tabling in the SUB. Please stop by and come out as whatever you want. Past favorites include a Doogie Howser MD lover, obssessed with corsets, and a Madonna fan.

We Are Who We Are: At 6pm in the Rotunda, B-GLAD will be hosting a campus-wide Queer 101. A panel of members of the UPS queer community, including students who identify as gay, lesbian, and bisexual, and gender and sexuality questioning students, will be answering questions and discussing their own experiences as queer teenagers and adults.

Party!: At 8pm, return to the Rotunda for the second annual Coming Out Day Dance! Music and food and fun, sponsored by B-GLAD.

We hope to see you there!

Oh, I'm a bad bad person. Again.

My laptop had a minor spastic freakout, which was exciting and prevented me from working in the company of, y'know, other people.

UPSStage M! may just kill me...

Lion King sing-along in the Cellar was great fun, we should do that more...

Must write 2-5 minute monologue. And find pagan thing. And research Literacy Campaigns. And brushup Latin conjugations and declensions. And write the thing I was supposed to turn in to Geoff. All before 9am. Whee!

Today's Gay, since I sucked and didn't post yesterday's:

It's that time of year again...Yes, October is Queer History Month! Full of wonderful activities and events brought to you by B-GLAD, the UPS LGBTQQAI(insert other letters as necessary...) alliance. And my part of the extravaganza once again is the GAY OF THE DAY CALENDAR! Every day for the month of October a new calendar page will be posted here and by the dish return in the SUB featuring an outstanding member of the queer community. I know it's October 2 and I haven't posted anything here yet, but...I have no excuse, I just suck that way...I won't do it again...So here are both yesterday's and today's gays and corresponding icons for your pleasure, presented this year in magical technicolor! Please use them and support Queer History Month!

January 2015

I Cannot Hide What I Am

I must be sad when I have cause and smile
at no man's jests, eat when I have stomach and wait
for no man's leisure, sleep when I am drowsy and
tend on no man's business, laugh when I am merry and
claw no man in his humour...
I had rather be a canker in a hedge than a rose in
his grace, and it better fits my blood to be
disdained of all than to fashion a carriage to rob
love from any: in this, though I cannot be said to
be a flattering honest man, it must not be denied
but I am a plain-dealing villain. I am trusted with
a muzzle and enfranchised with a clog; therefore I
have decreed not to sing in my cage. If I had my
mouth, I would bite; if I had my liberty, I would do
my liking: in the meantime let me be that I am and
seek not to alter me.
